IST4Balt kick-off planning meeting organized by RTU with participation of EDNES, RTU, LITTA,
INFOBALT, VITP, Bi-Info and Inforing.
22 October 2004, Vilnius (Lithuania)
IST4Balt seminar in the framework of INFOBALT 2004 Trade Fair organised in total for 50 telematic users,
developers, vendors and service providers in the Baltic countries with wide participation of potential EU team work partners.
The seminar was devoted to the FP6 IST Priority. CD-ROM containing general information on the IST4Balt project and the
presentations delivered at the seminar was published.

Forthcoming IST4Balt conferences
Two INFOBALT-IST4Balt conferences will be co-organized by INFOBALT in collaboration with EDNES in Vilnius, Lithuania,
on the last week of October 2006 and 2007. In time and audience the conferences will be affiliated with Trade Fair INFOBALT,
which is also organized by INFOBALT since 1994 in Vilnius yearly at the same time span. During more than ten years Trade Fair
INFOBALT is the major IT event in Lithuania and one of the most important gatherings in computer telecommunication as far as
all Baltic countries are concerned.
One Baltic IT&T-IST4Balt conference will be co-organized by LITTA in collaboration with EDNES in Riga, Latvia, on the first week of April 2007.
In time and audience the conferences will be affiliated with Baltic IT&T Forum,
which is also organized in Riga yearly at the same time span. During more than ten years Baltic IT&T Forum is the major IT
event in Latvia and one of the most important gatherings in computer telecommunication as far as all Baltic countries are
concerned. The major topics of the Baltic IT&T Forum will be:

- eServices (eGovernment, eBusiness, eSociety);
- eHealth (Pacient IS, Telemedicine, Infrastructure);

Forthcoming IST4Balt workshops
On the occasion of the INFOBALT-IST4Balt conferences, the project will organize two IST4Balt technical workshops in October 2006
and 2007. The workshops will be devoted to the IST activity areas: 18.104.22.168 Applications and services for the mobile user and worker,
22.214.171.124 Improving Risk management, with focus onto economical and financial risks. VITP will be the principal workshops organizer.
In addition to organization of the IT&T-IST4Balt conference, the project organizes on this occasion IST4Balt technical workshop
in April 2007.
The topics of the workshop will be three IST activity areas 126.96.36.199 Applications and services for the mobile user and
worker and 188.8.131.52 Cross-media content for leisure and entertainment, in applications to the Baltic States, and
184.108.40.206 e-Inclusion, with focus to inclusion of disabled people. Latvian partners LITTA and RTU will be principal
Forthcoming IST training workshop
IST4Balt will organize training workshop entitled "Baltic ICT Community on the Way to FP7" in Laagri, Estonia, on 29-30 June 2006
Two-days long workshop will be devoted to IST activity areas and eCollaboration tools to be implemented in the Baltic States in
the framework of the project. The tentative themes of the workshop correspond to IST Strategic Objectives opened in this call:
